Place the cuff on your left upper arm at heart level. The air tube should lie centered over the upper arm, aligned with the middle finger. The bottom edge of the cuff should sit 2–3 cm above the elbow crease. The cuff must be snug but not too tight – one finger should still fit between arm and cuff.
Press the MEM button while the device is turned off. The average value appears first; then press again to scroll through all stored measurements. Each user has 199 memory slots. When the memory is full, the oldest entry is automatically overwritten.
“E-1” indicates a weak signal or sudden change in pressure – often due to an incorrectly positioned cuff. “E-2” appears when movement or interference occurs during measurement. “E-3” signals a pumping error. In all cases, reapply the cuff properly, sit still, and repeat the measurement.
The BU A57 detects irregular pulse rhythms during measurement and displays them on the screen. This is not a diagnosis but helps identify irregularities early and seek medical advice if needed.
